Existing sites are difficult migrate to mediawiki structure: to "wikify" existing content from text files, HTML websites, or even office documents can be automated, but you'll have to write appropriate scripts on your own, and almost always must edit manually.
The extension this page suggests, Semantic Bundle are maybe not available on miraheze. I am not sure how important this is to the task at hand however.
There is nothing specific about WP here, though the closest is Converting content from HTML which suggests use of pandoc. I think either this or manual copy/paste (as there aren't that many pages to move) are reasonable options for setting things up initially.
Other extensions or gadgets which add to personal tools
- Admin Links adds, for users designated as admins, a link to the "Admin Links" page

- Some large Wikipedias (such as the English Wikipedia) include a "My sandbox" link to Special:MyPage/sandbox.
- Wikimedia Commons adds "My uploads"
ManageWiki is a MediaWiki extension developed for Miraheze that allows wiki administrators, bureaucrats, or local founder to easily modify their wikis settings. They are able to do basic things such as changing the logo, enable extensions like VisualEditor or Flow, create user groups and customize every action a given group of users can (not) do, among other things.
Permissions:
"Default groups & permissions" does not match reality. it's at /wiki/Special:ManageWiki/permissions
Just as a note, the developers of xWiki also have free wikis available. I tried them in the past but didn't like it as much though I can't articulate why. It's also an option though.
defines a special page, "Special:AdminLinks", that holds links meant to be helpful for wiki administrators; it is meant to serve as a "control panel" for the functions an administrator would typically perform in a wiki.
enhances Special:Search by providing an advanced parameters form and improving how namespaces for a search query are selected.
allows one or more AJAX-based polls on MediaWiki pages with
tag.
Approved_Revs (probably not FlaggedRevs)
Approved Revs is an extension that lets administrators mark a certain revision of a page as "approved". The approved revision is the one displayed when users view the page at its main URL. Approved Revs was designed to be a simple, more lightweight alternative to the FlaggedRevs extension. FlaggedRevs is a very feature-rich, heavy-duty extension that provides not just revision approval but also reviewing and related features; it defines 4 user rights, 3 user groups, 15 global variables, 3 log types, 11 special pages and 9 database tables (by contrast, Approved Revs defines 3 user rights, no user groups, 6 global variables, 1 log type, 1 special page and 2 database tables). If you're running a large-scale wiki like, say, Wikipedia, where the decision of which revision to show as the "official" one has to be made by, or at least accepted by, many people, FlaggedRevs is most likely the right tool to use. However, if you're running a small- or medium-scale wiki, with just a few administrators, Approved Revs may be the more appropriate solution.

The Comments extension adds the

New users often ask: "Where do I create a new page?": You don't want to explain to them about redlinks, send them to some lengthy manual, etc. Instead, with this extension, you can answer: on [[Special:CreatePage]].

The GuidedTour extension provides a framework for creating "guided tours," or interactive tutorials for MediaWiki features. Tours typically walk a user through some standard workflow (like editing an article or uploading an image) and are implemented as a series of dialog boxes that tell the user where to click and what to do next.
GettingStarted seems like it goes with GuidedTour but I'm not clear what it adds.
allows to add sidebar elements for specific user groups.

In another project, I have been using MediaWiki which the host miraheze provides for free. It's quite flexible and easy to use.
I am considering moving the writing/content development work from WP to MW. I have requested a wiki be created.
