Notes cannot be deleted #30

Describe the bug The button to delete/clear notes produces a pop-up, but does not actually deleted the notes

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. write anything in the notes
  2. click on the trash icon
  3. click confirm on the pop-up
  4. the notes should still be populated

Expected behavior The notes should clear i.e. text should be removed
