There is currently no mechanism to save data for a run itself, only in symbols.

A "global run data" dictionary that is saved and loaded with the game, and can be modified by symbols or symbol patches in the game.

The dictionary itself would probably have to be a field in the utils.gd script, which is a superclass for all mod classes as well as some other classes.
