Provide an example for using the library without MATLAB #6

I am having issues finding the right combination of gcc version, MATLAB, and cuda, which prevented me so far from running your software.

Could you please provide an example for using it without MATLAB, as it is mentioned in the README?

I would also like to have an example how to run program from terminal or how to start the GUI, since I feel bit lost with the MATLAB version.
