Feature Suggestion/Synergy with Lost Cities #235

Hi Ivorius -

McJty has been iterating on "Lost Cities", his mod spin-off from RFDimensions that allows for city type worldgen.

I would like to use recurrent complex to supplement his mod so i can add specialized buildings and "landmarks", (containing npcs and quest lines) but would like to ping you on a couple of feature suggestions I think I would need from RC to make this sing.

1) He is spawning his buildings in whole chunk areas - if RC had a feature whereby you could snap generation to chunk corners, this may help RC to play really nicely with his worldgen (if my reasoning is sound).

2) In order to get "Landmark" buildings, it would be great if RC structures had a data value that allows them to spawn just once. It may also be desirable to set this to a number in case a user wants a building that appears no more than n times, or n times in a given chunk radius.

I'm working on specialized buildings for his mod - depending on what my results are, maybe a specialized "urban/modern" version of RC or set of RC assets might be a cool thing to offer?

Thanks for your mod - its a real value as a pack-maker utility and always a pleasure to discover new building content you include!

Hey,

I'll address this in more detail later (on Mobile currently) but in short:

1) static generation with patterns might help you, although it would be less of a decoration type spawn. I'll consider snapping to a pattern / grid as an option. 2) already possible - check out the "limitations" option in natural generation.

I'll check it. Since I was just doing this a few miutes ago: check out screen from upcoming pack. Your building could go here (actually, Babel Tower looks really next level, plop in the middle of a city) some imgur crap
