My Tracks map edits are not saved in Google Maps

I posted a detailed description of a very frustrating bug in Google

It looks though that nobody from Google cares to read those forums, so 
I am re-posting here. 

Issue description:
I exported a map from My Tracks from Android to Google Maps. When I try to make 
any changes, they seem to be saved, but when I refresh the page again - many 
changes are lost. The behavior does not seem to have clear patterns, so I 
described as clearly as I could.
- To reproduce the issue - open custom map, make changes, save the map (at this 
point all changes are visible and correct), restart the browser or refresh the 
page with F5, go to the modified map and discover that many (not all) of the 
updates are gone.
- Any time I say in this text that "I cannot do something" it means that I can 
make the change, save it, but when the page is reloaded, the edits disappear.
- Problems occur on My Tracks imported features (both lines and placemarks). I 
do not recall problems on features added manually by editing the map in My 
Places (though I do not rule it out).

Specific issues:
- Changes to title and description of features almost always save well even 
when I make these changes in the series with other changes that do not save.
- Changes to icons are very bizarre - sometimes they do not change at all, 
sometimes the icon I assigned to one placemark gets assigned to all of them. 
This is the biggest issue. I am using only default icons, so the case is 
relatively simple.
- Changes to line colors do not stick.
- Re-ordering features is even more bizarre. Any time I make a series of 
changes, and there is a move of any feature in the list to the top of the list, 
the entire series (all moves) will not be saved. So in order to move item 7 to 
the first position, I first move it to the second position, then move the first 
icon into the second position and then save. There are other instances when 
re-ordering does not stick, but I cannot find a clear pattern.

- I cannot change any icons except Parking, which I added manually
- I did not assign all those red rockfall icons, that icon was only assigned to 
Nutcracker placemark
- I cannot change the color of lines.
- I cannot re-arrange the features.

Technical details:
- App version: My Tracks v1.1.9
- Phone: Nexus S on Rogers in Canada
- Android version: 2.3.4
- Google Maps accessed from Chrome 14 or IE 9 on Windows 7

You can only definitively say that this is a bug in My Maps if this bug is 
clearly documented in Known Issues of Google Maps. This bug manifests itself 
ONLY in My Maps that were created through My Tracks. Moreover, any additional 
objects created in My Tracks-exported maps do not exhibit the bug. So, for 
instance, if I export some lines and waypoints into Google Maps from My Tracks 
and then add more line and waypoints directly in Google Maps, only the exported 
elements will have the bug.
So maybe My Tracks simply exports corrupted data?
Please provide some validation of your statement that this is a bug in My Maps, 
not in My Tracks.
