Distance not always accurate #575

What steps will reproduce the problem?
Been training to walk a half marathon.  During training I took my reading to be 
accurate or at least more accurate than my friends standard clip on pedometer.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
When I walked a 10K (6.2 miles) this past Sunday it said I had gone over 7.04 
miles.  Being that far off I'm worried that my training might be off.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?
My Tracks 1.1.9 Android 2.2 on HTC EVO 4G

If possible please provide a log.  Either upload here or send to mytracks-
support@google.com.
