Scrolling back to double-tap a word sometimes accepts command prematurely #208

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. In any given game, make sure there is enough text that you will have to
scroll up.
2. Type a command, say, "x". Then scroll up and double-tap any word.
3. Press "return", without having scrolled down.

What is the expected output or behavior? What do you see instead?
The expected behaviour is that my command, composed of "x" and "double-tapped
word", is executed. Instead, half the time (and I do mean "half the time",
replicating isn't straightforward) I find that only the "x" was executed; the
game asks me which object I wish to examine; and on the next command prompt I
find the double-tapped word, which apparently got a carriage return before it
entered the command line.

I am unable, at present, to replicate this if in step 3 I do scroll down to the
command line before pressing "return". As far as I can tell it happens only if
the command line is off-screen.

What version of Frotz are you using?
1.6

What device model are you using (e.g., iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS, iPad 4, iPod
Touch 4th gen.)
iPod Touch

What version of iOS? 4.2.1, 5.1, etc.)
6.0.1

What I see may not be the same issue as that described above - not sure.

After double-tapping there is an animation - the word slides down to the
command line. If I double-tap again, before the previous animation has
completed, then that previous animation is canceled and its word won't be
copied to the command line.

iPad Mini, iOS 6.1.3, iFrotz 1.6

Fixed in release 1.7, now available (as soon as App Store servers update).
