Expected Behavior

If compress=False, then the pem_v0 surrogate object should be able to return full field quantities without first compressing to latent space.

Actual Behavior

The surrogate object only stores references to latent coefficients, so it can't be used to directly predict field quantities.

See the related issue in the amisc package. The best solution is likely to build dimension reduction into amisc so that it can handle returning either the latent space or full field quantities.
