Somewhat, when installing a workshop addon (besides maps) you must manually copy the content over to the custom or game folders.

Add game+mod |all_source_engine_paths|../../workshop/content/2158860/* to the gameinfo.txt underneath the custom folder.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Proper Workshop support would be desirable, this doesn't work perfectly (some addons like the spawn menu logo still have to be installed manually) but it's a great temporary solution until proper support is implemented.
