Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Once we roll out a version of spack-stack, the release branches and in particular the documentation aren't updated anymore. Often we have to install updates in older releases (e.g. a new version of ESMF, a bug fix for CRTM coefficients, or a complete reinstall on a system if the sysadmins decide that it is a good idea to upgrade a system from e.g. Centos7 to Rocky9).
Describe the solution you'd like
Let's create a wiki page that serves a living document with updates to existing/older releases, and keep that information up to date as we make changes to the existing installations (with links to the corresponding issues etc.). In readthedocs, let's add a link at the top of the "preconfigured platforms" page to the wiki page and instruct the users to always check for updates there first.
