@JChristensen: is there a special reason why this change was closed? Currently the version of this library on platformio is over 2 years old.

With the correct library.json file everyone using platformio could easily integrate the current version of this library. Thank you!

PlatformIO supports the library.properties manifest. We have just switched this library to it. See the updated page in the registry https://registry.platformio.org/libraries/jchristensen/DS3232RTC
