It is possible that the rise in the average payment as plotted in the spread investigation is driven by the same increases in the volume of outgoings plot. Its worth comparing the gradients of the two to confirm that the former is rising more rapidly.

It's likely also valuable to move to fitting to a manual and controllable process rather than embedding in the plot.
