This is just feature request

Hai, Kevin
Can U make xine as alternative engine for gnome-mplayer
not as replacement to mplayer just as alternative
because mplayer lacks in some paid site that provide streaming ( asf, wvx,
etc )

Thereis already xine plugins browser and player, but player that support
dbus just ( as I know ) totem with a lot of gnome dependency.

Thanx.

I am not planning on working with xine at all.

Eariler requests wanted xine for DVD support, but current mplayer DVD support is
excellent, so there is no need.

What site is not working as expected? Also, are you using gecko-mediaplayer as
the
plugin, that may help with the site you are having issues with.

Thanx for reply
the site that mplayer got the problem is http://member.allrealitypass.com/
yeah ;-) its porn site, but that not the point

im using gecko-mediaplayer too
all firefox plugins based xine can handle it, such:
xine-plugins ( all version)
kaffeine launcher
kaffeine kparts embedded in konqueror
totem

but mplayer based cant do it
Im already try all plugins from u but still no luck
mozplugger, plugger can handle it if using xine backend but no with mplayer

seems the problem was asf format and mmsh protocol streamming that mplayer cant
handle correctly
I can give u the login name and password if you wanna try it.
But U can find it by google ( where i got from )

Thanx

Problem is due to an upstream bug in mplayer also adding xine support is a huge
project and so I'm not going to do that at this point.
