Under different carbon constraint scenarios (1.5/2.0 °C), I find that there is less difference in the energy consumption profiles (total energy consumption and fuel structure) of energy end-use sectors such as transportation and buildings. The most significant differences are mainly in the high (1.5 °C) or low (2.0°C) biomass consumption in electricity production, refined oil and gas, and hydrogen production. How to fix biomass use in a region in gcam to enhance the representation of differences in energy end-use sectors under different carbon constraints.
