[Bug]: Trains getting stuck at path signals even though route ahead is clear of traffic #526

Open FilmBoy84 opened 1 year ago

FilmBoy84 commented 1 year ago

Version of OpenTTD

0.53.3 - Windows 10

Expected result

Trains should follow free paths and not get stuck indefinitely

Actual result

Trains arbitrarily get stuck at random path signals and never move again until the signal is removed and they are told to ignore signals

This has occurred several times in the game so far so I'm attaching a save

Steps to reproduce

Load the attached savegame, train 44 and 55 are stuck at signals that have a free path the other side

EDIT: 44 seems to be behind the offending signal

You need to change the "Show path reservations for tracks" setting to "on".

This will show that the junction tile has been left reserved, probably because the track layout was edited when a train reservation was present.

Thanks for response

Is there an issue with path updates after edits to the track layout then?

This is not something I experience in vanilla where paths seem to update on the fly as changes are made
