This is a common request so I'm intending to contact the TuneWiki developers
and see
if they'd be interested in making their app work with mine.

what's the difference between "music" and tunewiki from scrobbledroid
perspective? why do you need
them to change the app?

The "Music" app sends messages to the system about what music is playing and
Scrobble
Droid listens for those messages. TuneWiki doesn't send the same messages. I
defined
a standard message that applications can use to tell Scrobble Droid about what
is
playing:
http://code.google.com/p/scrobbledroid/wiki/DeveloperAPI
If TuneWiki added support for that then Scrobble Droid would work with it as
well. It
might be possible for me to add special support for TuneWiki (without them
having to
change anything), but I haven't investigated that, and it's not a priority for
me at
the moment, because I don't use TuneWiki personally. Sorry.

may be it's worth to rather ask them to send "general" style messages, like
"Music"
app, so they would be usable by other apps?

I considered that, but I decided against it because I think it's important that
the
user has to confirm in each individual application that they want to enable
scrobbling in that app. It's a privacy issue, basically. Since scrobbling
shares the
user's information with the world, I want to be certain that I have their
permission
first.

TuneWiki can scrobble tracks itself - no need for it to call/use ScrobbleDroid
