If the player has high enough Swashbuckling skill then an event may trigger on the Deck where they see Kipler sparring with a pirate. From this they learn that anyone who can beat him will win a prize, his famous sword 'Kipler's Kutter'.
This event makes a quest available at Kipler to spar with him and win his sword. It also makes the spar command available at the Helm.
You can spar with Kipler in four forms: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. You need to beat him on Expert to win the sword.
