Having settled on a bathymetry product, in order to move forward, there remains a number of important tuning/optimisation tasks:
tune friction
iterate LAT to get bathymetry ref to MSL to get LAT
update LAT product for surge?
noise reduction bathymetry smoothing
ASSESSMENT
Maybe there should be a distinction between improving bathymetry and improving assessment. Gauges are in deep channels which are poorly reflected by 1.5km boxes. Should the channels be created, the assessment location moved, or assessment method modified?
