We probably need an overall approach to handling the issue of numerics+counters.
The matter was discussed earlier in 2022 in the comments associated with the 二皿/ふたさら entry. See: https://www.edrdg.org/jmwsgi/entr.py?svc=jmdict&sid=&q=2854459 for the discussion. I've closed off that entry and moved the issue here.
It would be good to have some sort of way of handling the variant reading cases. In general Japanese dictionaries don't address this issue, apart from specialist ones such as the NHK pronouncing dictionary.
