The code generally looks good. However here are some suggestions that may be implemented to improve the code:

• try to use comments more. They make the code more readable
• try to deploy the site and add the link in the ReadMe file so interested individuals do not have to clone the code.
• remove the event parameter on the javascript file (line n# 9)
