I was hoping to play this using Gameslinx's Planet Overhaul. Sadly I realised that the support for this didn't really work out. For example, when starting a new game with normal difficulty and the mod enabled, I only unlock nearby planets. However it's very hard and illogical to get to them before going to the bodies orbiting Gaia. Is there any way I can reconfigure the mod to be able to unlock them before other bodies?
