Originally posted by **edzob** May 5, 2022 "Literature often uses the same concept of system but" -> as first sentence.. which literature, why is the concept of system of interrest in the sentence, what definition of system? Help the reader. please.. Just dropping the word in 2.0 is not enough for a nice read. "The former acknowledged that the system is not isolated." -> not a sentence You provide no logical reasoning why open system is selected "Understanding the environment will help to influence the environment." -> don´t put this down as statement! This is not true :) When you adopt Cynefin and are in a chaotic context, you understand but can not influence. also chaos theorie states that there will be chaos in a system. aka frame this smaller or into a reference statement. 2.2 antifragile .. des te meer ik taleb 2021 tegen kom in de zinnen, merk ik dat het gebruik van de versie die je hebt gelezen ervoor zorgt dat sommige zinnen niet kloppen. Ik denk dat je voor sommige zinnen beter de 2012 datum kunt gebruiken. zoals in H1 voorbeeld en in deze zin "Antifragile was coined for the first time by Taleb (2021)" "Botjes et al. (2021) used a data set collected by Botjes (2020)." -> volgens mij stellen we de dataset beschikbaar in 2021 via links naar gitlab.. 2021 maakt geen gebruik van 2020 (dacht ik). Dus die zinnen kunnen weg.. "but it only covers literature until June 2019 (Botjes et al., 2021, p. 5)." Ah ja.. hier staat June 2019 .. weet je nog feedback over methodology hoofdstuk? "Botjes et al. (2021, p. 3) uses the definitions of Martin-Breen and Anderies (2011, pp. 5–8)." --> Als ik met niet vergis gebruikt Kastner deze def ook. :) "Figure 2.3.: The fifth dis- cipline" -> super dope dat je dit plaatje gemaakt hebt.. best mooi. so. far.. snel douchen en aan het werk

@edzob "Understanding the environment will help to influence the environment." -> don´t put this down as a statement! I can also state differently. Lapalme states it through his lens on enterprise architecture (Lapalma, 2012). I did not use Cynefin but Lapalme.

The guiding principle is that a systemic approach alone isn’t sufficient to enterprise design; it’s necessary to achieve environment and enterprise coevolution by purposefully changing the environment, systematically designing the enterprise as well as its relationship to its environment. Enterprise architects have three approaches for achieving such coevolution. First, they make the environment friendlier for the enterprise’s desired goal by reinforcing pockets of desired “futures” in the environment and attenuating unwanted forces. Second, they use environmental learning to adapt the enterprise’s desired goals to be more compatible with the environment.
