IP family name in template 2.3.0 not compliant with current regulation? #34

Dear CO2MPAS Team,

The new version of CO2MPAS (2.0.0) creates an input template (2.3.0) in which the IP family name is defined as in WLTP Act 2. Considering the older version of CO2MPAS will not be official anymore after the 15th of November, and WLTP Act 2 regulation may not be published nor applicable at this time, how should we proceed ?

Should we use the former template version in the new CO2MPAS version ? Or still use the former CO2MPAS version ?

Thank you, ML

Dear @mlamarliere,

Thank you for the question.

The new CO2MPAS version 2.0.x is able to parse both IP family name formats, and both versions of CO2MPAS Input templates (v2.2.7 and v2.3.0) can be used! This applies to both CO2MPAS simulations and the DICE procedure.

However, the v2.3.0 has some extra fields, that they are either inputs to the model of the new version 2.0.x (for example engine_n_cylinders), or they are useful for the user (for example ki_additive, etc.).

In this sense, please find attached an intermediate version of the Input file v2.2.9. It has all the extra fields and it keeps the old IP family name format: Input_template_v2.2.9.xlsx

Kind regards.

Dear @dimitriskomnos, According to your answer above, I understood that input template v2.2.7. can be used for official purposes (co2mpas and dice) with co2mpas versión 2.0.0. Can you please confirm? Thank you Loic-MJ

Dear @Loic-MJ,

In the Input files v2.2.9 and v2.3.0, the most important difference from the older v2.2.7 is the input parameter engine_n_cylinder. This field is already included in the amendment of the correlation regulation: 1002/2018 https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/GA/TXT/?uri=CELEX:32018R1002

The rest of the input fields are optional (colored in orange), so there is no need to fill them. In this sense, you may use:

Kind regards.
