Improve spelling and grammar on "What & Why" doc page. #324

I noticed a few mistakes when I was reading this page, so I fixed them as I went along.

I only made minor corrections here. The phrasing is still a bit awkward in places; if you're open to bigger revisions I could propose additional changes.
