I really like some of the features of it... but am a bit concerned trusting my backups to it if it's now defunct. That'd be a shame :(

Anyone?

I don't have any clues doing backups with this plugin at the moment. I've also done a lot of normal and disaster recoveries.

There's some little things I would see fixed/added:

I nice to have would be:

For the first two things I could add a PR if it would be okay to set variables in curly braces. VM names thing must be somewhere in include/javascript/vmbackup.js in function rebuild_current_configs or append_new_config. But I'm not familiar with javascript.

My current version: Unraid 6.12.4

This seems dead to me tbh,

i think the author has mentioned he dosn't even use Unraid anymore based off the unraid support forum thread. If only it had been left in a working state... I'm running the development branch as the master branch plugin dosnt survive a reboot in unraid anymore without uninstalling (moved to erroring plugin section), and the pre/post script boxes in the plugin wont save anything pasted into them..

Shame.

The project is mostly dead on my end due to a lack of time with my job and life over the last couple of years. Happy to turn it over to someone else for development. I do use UnRAID still and the plugin still works for me oddly enough, so I haven't given much thought to it. I will eventually bang on it some more as I find myself with free-time, but there is a reason I never took this out of beta. Wish I had better news for you.

Thanks for the reply. I believe there is an issue with it surviving unraid reboots for a lot of people may have something due to how it was originally installed? ...other than, i'm a fan and love using it, but having to reinstall it after an update gets tedious... :(
