White crosshairs taking over my screen when using the auto updater?

Can you describe the problem?

Everytime install the auto updater my cross hair goes from bring very small to 
this massive white lines taking up most of my screen.

What steps will reproduce it?
1. Autoupdater

What's your installation path? #(you should blank out your username)

C:\Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\

Where do you run the Updater from?

desktop

What system do you use? #(xp, win7, win8, 64/32bit)

 windows 7 pro 64

That's not a crosshair. You enabled the aiming guide in the overrides menu.
