I tried at https://arxiv.org/abs/2408.06224. No icon shown.

It works on my end, both on firefox and chrome. It is slower than usual, but that might be a network issue on my end

I also have issues with arXiv. The author is missing and each imported entry has the type "Misc". I would expect that the imported entry has the same data as the one that you get from arXiv by selecting "export BibTeX citation". For instance, this article https://arxiv.org/abs/0810.0312 has an empty author field when imported using the browser extension. Using the standard JabRef import and pasting the arXiv link works fine.

@LyzardKing Can you check if that article is imported correctly on your system?

I am using Jabref 5.15 on Linux.

@mstnb I just tried, and it is strange that the type is set to Misc. However the author field is set correctly. I have the JabRef flatpak, and Firefox snap with the extension, but didn't change any configuration (and it shouldn't make any difference)

One thing we could (should?) do is resync the extension with the zotero connectors, since that hasn't been done in a while. I was looking at automating that a while back, but I can't really commit real time to it at the moment.

Anyway I'm not sure that it would fix anything
