It'd be nice if we could make a comment on the off budget account for how much is contributed each month. Like how you have BR4 + to override the budgeted amount. Maybe BR4 * $$$ to automatically fill in the Monthly Investment Contribution field?

The way I'm doing it right now is I have a placeholder category in the budget for 401k under my Financial Independence category. It just hangs out with 0 budgeted, but then it allows me to use the comments like you mentioned to put in the monthly contribution.
I think what you're proposing is to just have another way to do this by putting the comment directly in the notes for the Tracking account? Is that correct? That should be pretty easy to do.

If it isn't too big of a deal I think being able to add a note to the tracking account for contributed amounts would still be nice and a cleaner way to do it vs. extra budget categories.
