Hello, i have a quick return about this extension which i think it's not working well on my configuration I have VLC Version 3.0.17.3 Vetinari (Intel 64bit) on macOS version 13.0.1 on Chip M1 pro.

I have installed the content of the vlc_permatents_bookmarks.lua on this location : /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/extensions/

The window of the extension does not seems to display correctly (here is a screenshot)

Plus when i click the "Add" button, it does not seems to do anything, the "close" button is working anyway.

Hello, Can you take a screenshot of debug logs when you click to Add Button. To do that go to Tools > Messages and set verbosity to debug.

@JacopoBucchioni Here is the content of the debug log from vlc when i click on the Add button :

There are no error messages when you open the extension?

maximeoger commented 1 year ago

I get a log for opening the vlc permanent bookmarks dialog, but it does not seems to be an error

From the logs the extension seems to work fine. Have you tried installing the extension to this path /Users/user_name/Library/Application\ Support/org.videolan.vlc/lua/extensions/?

I moved the file in the location you suggested but this does not seems to resolve the issue. I also does not have the possibility to resize the window verticaly (but i can resize horizontaly)

I have the exact same problem on an Intel Macbook Pro running vlc Version 3.0.18 Vetinari (Intel 64bit). I had the problem when running MacOS Catalina, and I still have it running Ventura. The extension is useless as it is.

Me too have this issue on M1 Macbook Pro. Cannot resize the window. Only close button is working, no other button doing anything. Has anyone found a fix?
