Sample text for Ethiopian used old orthography #218

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

The font has two dots ( : ) after every word, this type of writing is very old
and none of the modern writings follow this way. I think spaces should just be
spaces without the two dots.

Any updates on this issue? I want to use font, but its style is too old.

I was not able to reproduce issue #218 in the latest Noto Sans Ethiopic
revision r5dc13d00bbb4, which appears to be from Dec 2, 2014. Please see the
attached specimen.

My understanding is that the concept of character insertion after a string or a
word do not apply to Font specification but IMEs. What input method, or
Ge'ez/Amharic/Tigrigna software are you using to type the words and on what
device?

Oh, the bug is not about the font, but the sample text shown at
http://www.google.com/get/noto/#/family/noto-sans-ethi.

ah.. ok. I assumed that the default behaviour of the font is like that. The
sample text is misleading.
