Approval workaround with configurable porduct #621

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Put a configurable and a simple product in your cart
2.its possible to check out without approval
3.customer mail for the configurable product
3.approver gets mail only with simple product to approve

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Approval should work with any type of product

What version of Magento/extension are you using? 1.5. with latest order approval

Did you read our Troubleshooting pages? Yes

Bug confirmed

Tested on /magedev/ Magento ver. 1.5.0.1
Order_approval  0.1.0.1 (stable)

I did get all the usual notifications and warnings but I was not prevented from 
finalizing the order.

I think it happens because configurable products are transformed to a simple 
products after they're added to the shopping cart. So it's able to checkout it.

Do you mean the approval flag is being lost during the transformation?
Why would it affect the workflow?

Atanas, make a note in help about configurable products not working.
We'll fix it, but not immediately.

This is a "show stopper" for us. 
I believe the bug also impacts Bundled Products.
It also means that the Extenstion is not compatible with "Boost My Shop"'s 
Quotation extension, as all quotes are saved in the cart as bundled products.
