What steps will reproduce the problem?
I write a class:
public class TestMathML {

    public TestMathML(){

    }
    public String getMathMl(String anExpression)
    {
            StringWriter stringWriter = new StringWriter();
            new MathMLUtilities(new EvalEngine(),
            false).toMathML(anExpression, stringWriter);
            return stringWriter.toString();
    }
    public static void main(String[] args){
        TestMathML a = new TestMathML();
        System.out.println(a.getMathMl("Abs[-x]"));

    }
}

When program run, it throws some exception.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

You need to call
  F.initSymbols(null, null, false);
first to intialize the system.
