Finally following up on my previous post about the coolmoon controller mod, this post shows how to connect it with a mainboard header and do cool (pun intended) animations with OpenRGB.

could you theroeticly just hook up the 12v fan and ground to a 3 pin motherboard fan header? would that let the motherboard control the fans based on cpu or gpu temperature?

@ledbrainlet Sure you can, if your mainboard supports DC fan control. Note that these are actually only 2 pin fans, so only power lines. They don't report the RPM back, again depending on the mainboard if it's ok with that.
