Thanks for raising this. Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. Can you explain why this fixes your problem? I am happy to merge but first I want to get a better understanding of what it solves and make sure that it works with the current setup.

This doesn't seem to break anything and if it helps your project then I will just merge it. It might take me some time to do a release though.
