this has also been happening to me, really weird thing to come back to
any solution?
@howmanysmall this is a bug in vscode, they are working on it.
Disable shell integrations in vscode.
Disable shell integrations in Preferences > Settings and restart VSCode
Disabling the shell integration does not help in my case.
"terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled": false,
"terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.decorationsEnabled": "never",

@yapancha did you restart vscode? Either way, it's their responsibility.

This is just more FYI, not a fix for your issue.
I only had to change one setting.
{
"terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled": false
}
However, also tried setting the "...decorationsEnabled" as you did to see if I could reproduce the issue you're having, but I could not.
@yapancha did you restart vscode? Either way, it's their responsibility.
I did not even have to restart VSCode, just disable shellIntegration
. So there's something unique to @yapancha's setup that the rest of us don't have.
I hope the VSCode people fix their issue soon. It definitely started with their most recent update.
@JeffJacobson I hope so too or else I'll be forced to send in my hours for compensation 😅

When I press
Ctrl + C
in my terminal in the VSCode, it gets this line, and I cannot get rid of it even though I have killed the terminal.It's still normal when I use Windows Terminal.
