2 years ago @ReneSelles , the 'fan speed' widget serves sort of as the master on/off switch, is this not working? Additionally, there is the 'fan mode' widget (or Domoticz Device) which also has the ability to switch the fan off. The 'fan speed' basically combines the regular fan speed control with the fan mode, which I found very convenient to have 1 master control.
As Jan mentioned, I've built this with only owning a fan, not a cooler, bus based on other implementations I assume it should work. Sort of ;) Just make sure to enable (set to 'used') all widgets (devices) you need. Btw: not all widgets allow sending commands, some are read only from the machine.
I'm guessing TP07 is the model, correct?

2 years ago The fan speed widget can change the fan speed between 1 and 7 but not off and auto.
This is not a cooler. Just a fan with a big filter. It is the latest model.
I’m not sure about the model. Dyson does not really specify this.
All the information I was able to retrieve is already in this conversation.
The thing is called “dyson purifier cool” but this is misleading. It doesn’t cool at all…
The remote control has an on/off button. Hence the question for this functionality since the fan control does not work.

Looks like the new model of the one I've got.
So to get any further I'll need some logging. You have to enable debug logging on the plugin:
Then, using the app on your phone, do the things you want to do (keep track of the times....) and send me the domoticz log file (normally found under /tmp/domoticz.log) or copy/paste from the logging window of Domoticz. Preferable, enter in the log file send me the action you took by the app. Then we will see if and how we can improve this.

2 years ago Yep, that’s the one. Since there is no distinct fan setting on the app (just + and -) I’ve only used the on/off command. In the attached file are the Domoticz log entries for this. I hope you can add the on/off feature to the plugin. Thankx in advance

The fancontrol now works for this unit.
There is one thing: I had to remove the name from the hardware configuration because I received this error:
Error: Dyson slaapkamer: The configured device name 'Slaapkamer' was not found in the cloud account. Available options: ['0.name']
This worked in the previous version.

2 years ago I’ve found another issue… The fan state reports Off after about an hour while the unit is still active. The app shows the right state.

2 years ago OK please create a separate ticke for that please. With some logging, if possible. You'll find the Domoticz logfile under /tmp/ if you enable logging to file in /etc/init.d/domoticz.sh

Hi,
I recently bought a Dyson air purifier and now I added it to my Domoticz setup. Most of the functions are working find. However I'm struggling to switch the unit of with the "fan Off" command. Could it be that this unit is to recent?
Also I would like to see a simple On/Off switch. Would it be possible to add this?
