This code has only been compiled; it has not been tested -- mgondan to verify (there are a few places I wasn't sure, so I added "TODO(mgondan").

Thanks! There are indeed no tests :cry: It compiles fine and I tested it using SWISH, which ships with various R demos. Roughly, the way to set this up is to

Install SWISH locally
- Add the packs using make, including rserve_client
Start Rserver using the Docker image at https://hub.docker.com/r/swipl/rserve/
- Take the route that shares access using /home/rserve
- Add yourself to the rserve group
Start SWISH and go to the SWISH tutorials, connection to R
