Gametrak CAD models wrong/missing #2

Open Pixtxa opened 1 week ago

The base fits perfect: image But there is a part left open, for that I cant't find a 3D Model to print it. Is it something to buy? Or is just the model missing?

The top part doesn't really fit in the Mounting holes and bends. image I've compared the 3D models and the mounting holes on the top part are a bit too wide. image Thought it should be a little thing to change, but the OpenSCAD-File is also missing. Are the missing files somewhere and can be added?

Also would be nice to have some pictures of the bottom side of the real TranspotterNG. The twitter links to videos are broken.

Hey @Pixtxa, I'm sorry that it doesn't fit well for you. The hole is left intentionally blank, I mounted most of my gametraks with the mechanism facing the wood (I have milled a pocket into my wooden bases. You probably want to add some kind of protection when the mechanism is facing down.

As for the holes, I think that you are right and they should be. I don't have a gametrak left over, could you measure the upper and lower hole distances? I will be able to change the cad file for you

Okay, I have 8 mm dibond, so making pockets doesn't really work. But I've designed a cover part now. Gametrek is weird, the holes aren't straight. Made a top part with the holes on same distance than base part and it also dosn't fit. Maybe it worked for you, because you have an other hardware revision of the game trek? In some pictures they were white instead of clear. If I screw it on tight, it doesn't work as good as it does unmounted. I've now changed the diameter of the border, because I want to use straight holes to screw it on and added a whole top lid, so I don't have to use washers like the first version of transpotter. I'll release my files when project is finished/they're printed and successfully tested.
