Updated the code with the current Blender 2.8 API changes

Thanks for putting time into this. I have been waiting on a big fix that prevented location data from being read.

I’ll check this out when I have a chance.

I didn't merge this branch because it made identical changes to those in the master, but the master branch also includes some updates to follow new register functions and naming conventions in 2.8 that were not in the forked branch.
