I'd expect the shortcut would get deleted if I disabled that checkbox?
1 - Create a new project with the "Create shortcut" checkbox turned on.
2 - Verify the shortcut is created in the Desktop.
3 - Edit the project and turn off the "Create shortcut" checkbox and press Save.
4 - Verify the shortcut is still present in the Desktop. (I assume it shouldn't be)
