Version 1: Any turn, instead of placing a stone, you can remove one of your opponent's stones if you remove two of your own stones.
Version 2: Each turn you can both place a stone, and sacrifice two stones to remove an opponent's stone.
Both versions could be implemented, or play testing could be conducted to see which version is more interesting.
