clearing the screen causes the command prompt to display the message at the very bottom of the screen which could become inconvenient. Would it not be better to let it show up at the top where it quickly becomes clear where to enter the next command?

Team's Response

That was the expected behavior of the command. The implementation flushed out the current output in the window by pushing them up. I agree that it would have been better to have the next prompt at the top of the window, but this would be difficult to implement since users can minimize the size of their terminal windows or the screen size can vary.
