Blockbench always has strange shadows #2432

What are you trying to do, and what do you expect to happen?

Blockbench should not display blurry shadow-like blocks, nor should it affect the screenshot model.

What happens instead?

It appears as a shadow, and it appears even when 'Shading' is not selected. Regardless of whether 'Shading' is enabled or not, it exists and also affects the screenshot model, causing it to be included in the screenshot.![Uploading screeshot.png…]()

I can't see the screenshot, but it sounds like you are using the "Ambient Occlusion" plugin.

Sorry I'm going to re-upload the screenshot. The previous upload failed. screeshot blockbenchskst And here's the image rendered using the screenshot model. It looks like this: emm I only added the Minecraft Title and animated Java plugins, nothing else. And even after deleting these two plugins, the issue still persists.

This is clearly the ambient occlusion plugin. If you can't uninstall it manually, click Help > Developer > Factory Reset.
