What are you trying to do, and what do you expect to happen?

I am simply trying to use Blockbench.

What happens instead?

I have just started encountering this issue where Blockbench is using extremely high CPU usage when a model is on-screen. My PC has been completely fine and can run at a constant 144FPS, only today has my PC started struggling with it. But also struggling with even being on the home menu and not having any models open, only when a model is on-screen at all is when the CPU gets irritated. The web version of Blockbench runs completely fine and smooth with no issues or CPU overloads at all.

Test if the issue occurs with other models of similar complexity. Check if there are driver updates available for your GPU or CPU. Try and install the Performance Audit plugin and use it via the Help menu. It should give you some details on what is limiting your performance.

I think blockbench is an electron app and electron ships the whole chromium with it
