[Enhancement] Using IDs or city names #73

Open CelesteGH opened 2 years ago

Hi

My city on open weather has several entries and the first one is wrong. I can't seem to figure out the keywords to filter it. It would be way better if I could use the city ID rather then the name.

example : https://openweathermap.org/find?q=nice,fr

Thanks

@CelesteGH can you please provide me the exact name of your city to make some tests there?

My example with "Nice,FR" shows 3 results and no way of choosing one of them. And you can see a 7°C difference between the first result and the other ones...

I am having the same issue. Here is my example:

I work in Spring, Tx. If I type in Spring as the city name it pulls some other city's weather. If using Spring, Tx it pulls in the correct weather but then this also makes the city name expand off the edge of the icon button on the stream deck. If you could use the city ID and the parse the city name for the button label in a neat format that fit the button area that would be great. Maybe adding a drop down that let us select the correct city along with a input box where we can provide our own custom city name to display seems like the easier way out.
