Actual vehicle keys #1496

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. No

Describe the feature you'd like For keys to owned vehicles to become an actual item in your inventory which get put there when pulling out said vehicle from a garage. Possibility of stealing keys from locals & hotwiring of cars to be a longer process.

Describe alternatives you've considered Keep the vehicle lock system as is.

Additional context Have keys, much like phones become an actual item. Meaning if someone was to want to steal a personal owned vehicle, they would not be able to just hope you've left it unlocked and automatically be able to drive away with it or lock pick it and then instantly be able to drive it. I know there is a short animation of hot-wiring cars but personally think it is far too quick & unrealistic. Therefore they would have to rob you of the keys before having access to the vehicle, or sit there, lock-pick the vehicle & then further hot-wire (which hopefully could be made a longer process) the car before being able to drive off with it. Possibly also having a feature if possible where if you leave the car running when getting out, it leaves the keys in the car. Or make the car have a glove box feature where the keys will go. There is also then the idea of making locals hand over their keys to vehicles a possibly feature, much like the locked local cars being a chance of only sometimes being unlocked, the locals would only sometimes hand over the keys. This could help taxis receive more calls, push hitchhiking, & deter VDM'ing of new players as stealing a car would be harder to do & would then mean less build up of stolen cars left in the middle of roads in busy areas.

It would need to be a new key every time anyone pulled the vehicle or someone would get the keys and then basically own your car any time they see it.

Either way sounds like a mess of keys everywhere.

Even if just the hot-wiring system was made longer that could help. Having someone just almost instantly be able to drive off in a car they've stolen (whether player or local owned) doesn't make much sense.

Same reply as the last two times this was written here, when the inventory system is the rewritten, we can acheive this, but right now it's not possible.
