This forces drivers to be clocked in and with large numbers similar to PD (not feasible), the entire concept of DTCC is not feasible in all honesty. I want a cab from Paleto, am I going to wait 10 minutes for someone to drive up there, then wait another 10 minutes to drive back down, to then pay money when it's easier to steal a vehicle, meh.
I reckon we just go with singleplayer style taxi's, we've tried every possible system and it simply doesn't work for a server of this size.
Probably true of anyone out in the county (Harmony or points North) but a shuttle bus through there could be fun. In the city or for rides from the prison I think the cabs are useful, particularly for people worried about their whitelist jobs.
I think getting DTCC (and other services) onto the payphones would generate a lot of business, but even if it's not the busiest job I find it fun & relaxing. It can also be a big advantage for new players that take advantage of it - many of the drivers like playing tour guide when we get the chance.
I'd hate to see DTCC get binned after all the work that went into the new changes. Local fares just started working! If it does get removed hopefully the private hire bus/limo part of the business survives.
A new bus system sounds cool!
Back in the days of the transport department, buses were a thing (among with Ubers and other things). However, just like with Ubers, buses wouldn't make sense to have for a Cab company. Maybe a new whitelist job which focuses specifically on buses, such as the "Los Santos Transit" firm would be nice... or if citizens were provided/were able to purchase city buses in order to privately run a bus service
Buses have big potential for trolling but Los Santos Transit has a nice ring to it. That could easily include DTCC as a rank/option, or not. I think DTCC is a great RP job if maybe not ideal as a game mechanic.
24hr NPC taxi would be convenient & make more of the GTA/carjacking RP-driven.
Describe the current reason for this balance request Recently there have been reports of inactivity within the DTCC. I think one of the main reasons why most taxi drivers don't clock in so often is due to the low amount of customer calls you get. In my opinion, the reason behind that is that most citizens choose to steal a local car instead of calling a taxi. Obviously this will hurt DTCC. I have been clocked on for like 2 hours and only received a few calls even though the city is full.
Describe the solution you'd like A nice solution in my opinion would be be to lower the chance of stealing/finding an open car. Not only will that increase the demand of Downtown Cab Taxi's but will also make citizens have to get lockpicks in order to steal a car. That will make the car jacking process longer as well as making it more risky, giving more time to the police to catch them.
