Drag - A few tweaks #2983

Describe the current reason for this balance request I believe it will make things better considering right now it's somewhat limited.

Describe the solution you'd like 1. Having the ability to place people in vehicles, same as we do when we are clocked on as PD.

Say there is no EMS clocked on, your friend dies at Legion, has expensive, rare and illegal items on him. You would have to carry him all the way on foot from Legion to Pillbox which would take a lot of time. Just an example. Placing people in vehicles in my opinion is a must for multiple reasons, there is only so much current dragging feature can offer. Of course, person would still have to 'request' [Q] to be dragged so the chances of it being abused would probably be the same as now.

2. Remove all restrictions/limitations when player has more than X playtime, 75-100 hours and above would suffice, I guess. That applies only to the person dragging, obviously. It makes sense why it is like that currently, it's a public server and the quality of RP varies a lot. Easily abusable.

However, ideally anyone should be able to drag one. Ideally. As far as I know currently downed player has the option to "Press Q to be carried" which means if he doesn't actually press Q he won't be able to be carried no matter what, which is unrealistic from an RP perspective. Even if his murderer wants to hide his body from the police, put him in a car and interrogate him etc. It limits the RP to an extent. A person with over 75 hours (could increase that number if needed) is usually someone who abides by the server rules and has decent understanding of roleplay. Let alone one with 500, 1000 or 3000 hours with 0 warnings/bans on their record. Regardless, it's impossible to make it completely safe, there are always going to be people who want and will try to abuse it, like it happens with nearly ever feature on the server.

Additional context I am glad dragging feature has been added to the server, and I also do understand why it's currently very limited, but a few tweaks here and there are needed in my opinion to make more use of it.

Explain what kind of response you want to this, because I can't figure out how you started/ended writing this.

Remove all restrictions/limitations when player has more than X playtime, 75-100 hours and above would suffice

People with thousands of hours are still getting banned daily for dumb things, not to mention, you "understand" why it's limited but sitll post this, I don't understand.

I do understand all the restrictions because it's a public and for all ages server, which means adding a feature like this with no limitations at all can be abused heavily. Allowing a player with 10 minutes playtime to carry others without permission could/would be a disaster.

That is why I am suggesting making it less strict (or not limited at all) when playtime is high. Sure, even people with 5000 hours get banned at times, that happens even in whitelisted servers, but the chances are way slimmer. Higher playtime usually means better roleplay, and if one manages to reach 500 hours successfully without being permanently banned then they at least have a bit of roleplay sense and seriousness in their game. Again, it's impossible to make it 100% safe, that's how it is (unless it remains very limited), and I think the pros outweigh the cons in this case.

As for the placing in vehicles I don't think it can be abused at all since it will remain as it is now; downed player requests to be carried, then nearby person drags him and puts him in a car.

placing in vehicles

I put it somewhere (which we will be adding) else but as this is post is more consolidated we'll reference this as the new master.

We will be adding placing in vehicles.
