Unintended rollbacks #321

Describe the bug Forcing the closure of FiveM as you're connecting to any of the servers causes a rollback of your character along with one of the bank account.

Due to one of the latest updates to either the servers or FiveM the first connection almost always ends up in a "Connection interrupted" "Reconnect" screen that obliges you to use the Task Manager in order to kill the process or type quit in console unless you want to lose the slot you've just waited for in most cases by waiting for the reconnection attempts to go through.

The reason why I'm reporting it is that I believe that the intended fix to the server hiccups causing people to lose things might be the cause of it. (I am in no way certain of it, it's only an assumption as my problems have started roughly after that fix was implemented.)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Add any amount of money to your bank account.
  2. Move between different locations on the map.
  3. Disconnect and close FiveM as a normal person would.
  4. Launch it again and try to connect to a server, if the connection doesn't fail on its own (happens mostly upon the first connection to me) force the closure yourself while loading. [Use Task Manager or quit in the console for this]
  5. Connect once more normally and observe yourself being rolled back to another location than the one you left at and the money from your bank missing.

Additional context I believe many people including myself have been having this issue, it makes it almost unplayable as any amount of money you spend hours to earn isn't saving, with the no refund policy you end up not being able to earn anything.

Update 29/05/2019: I have lost about 500k in the past two weeks and I can't make any progress whatsoever as whatever I earn gets drained from my bank account and I get rolled back up to 2 days. I would fix this myself by earning enough money to buy a house and storing my money in there but I can't earn enough and get in touch with a D8 agent fast enough, I always end up losing the money I earned prior to meeting the real estate agent.

It was not happening for a few days then it started again so I am now re-opening this with more details after talking to some moderators/helpers.

Figured out it was related to Bitdefender.
